- Allowing characters to introduce themselves
- Taking careful notes
- Being an observer - of self and others
- The Craft of Writing - Good habits
- The Writer vs. the Technician
- The definition of editing, correcting, and rewriting
- Learning who you are as a writer

Instructor: Laurie Brennen-Grey
Ms. Grey currently teaches this program in the Continuing Education Department at Mountain View College.
Ms. Grey has an honors degree from UNC Asheville in Mass Communications and Creative Writing.
She has worked for 3 newspapers in editing and features.
Ms. Grey is also a local business owner contracting administrative and editorial services.
